Pantograph Inspections For High Speed Trains

To ensure that a train is running safely, today's high speed electric trains require careful and precise inspections. In some cases, train operators rely on human inspections alone to ensure the safety of the train, but this is not always the most ideal or accurate method. The most important component of a high speed electrical train inspection is the pantograph. The pantograph is the apparatus that is mounted on top of an electric train to collect power. The pantograph comes into contact with the overhead lines to generate power for the train to run. But as with all machinery, in time, the pantograph can wear down and this can be dangerous to the passengers and cargo.
